Glass Mat Thermoplastics
In the SMC molding process, the sheet molding compound is placed in a mold which has been heated to a specified temperature, and is pressurized by a hydraulic press to uniformly fill the cavity with the molten sheet molding compound, and then solidified by a pressure holding heat for a period of time. SMC has superior electrical performance, corrosion resistance, light weight and easy engineering and flexibility. Its mechanical properties can be compared with some metal materials, so it is widely used in transportation vehicles, construction, electronics / electrical and other industries.
Molding of composite materials is a method of placing a certain amount of molding material into a metal pair to cure a molded article under a certain temperature and pressure. During the molding process, heat and pressure are required to plasticize the molding material, flow into the cavity, and solidify the tree. In the flow process of the molding material filling the cavity, not only the resin flows, but also the reinforcing material flows, so the molding pressure of the molding process is higher than other methods, and belongs to high pressure molding. Therefore, it requires both a hydraulic machine capable of controlling pressure and a high-strength, high-precision, high-temperature resistant metal mold.

Our products allow you to save energy and time, with cycle time from 45 seconds for structural parts up to 120 seconds for highly technical parts such as trunk lids or tailgates.
